Exploding light bulbs as denied emotional energy, and the choice to express all of oneself ▶ Play excerpt05:17

Frederic mentions a recurring pattern of light bulbs exploding and electrical appliances failing around him and asks what it is about.

The Wonders say it is the same phenomenon: the energy of feeling.

The average person never explodes light bulbs, whereas he has done so many times.

When feelings are denied and one navigates the world with logic - talking oneself into and out of anything - that energy has to go somewhere: either inward, becoming stress and self-harm, or outward as an attack on the world through words, actions or non-physical means.

He notes he is far less aggressive toward people than he used to be and wonders whether it now goes into the electrical.

The Wonders commend the work he has done, but observe that this particular exploration is one he has repeatedly circled, played with and then avoided.

They pose the question: does he want to be a better person?

If not, he is doing very well and can stay as he is; if so, he should explore his feelings.

Frederic answers yes, while wanting to accept where he is, since always wanting to be something different is a trap.

The Wonders clarify they are not talking about looking elsewhere to be better but about whether he wants to own all of himself.

Every human incarnates with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual essence and accumulates experiences; the question is whether he wants to express all of himself or only part.

The parts expressed so far are amazing and place him in roughly the top 30% - and the real question is what more he wants to do with this life, and how he wants to be when he dies: not remembered or acknowledged by others, but able to look at himself and say he chose to live his way to the best of his ability.
